Overview

The Production Operator position involves various roles including Glass Dropper, Glass Handler, Clean Processor, and Welder at Westlake. The job requires compliance with safety policies and entails working in a fast-paced environment with physical demands.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with Westlake’s Safety Policies
  • Maintain regular attendance and flexibility in scheduling
  • Perform additional duties as requested by the supervisor
  • Install glass to window frames as a Glass Dropper, including accurate field measuring
  • Manage production schedules and handle glass loading/unloading as a Glass Handler
  • Sort and check glass quality, identifying basic defects as a Glass Handler
  • Clean frames using hand tools as a Clean Processor
  • Lay out, align, and weld frames using welding equipment as a Welder

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Spanish language skills are a plus
  • Prior experience in a related field is a plus
  • Ability to maintain attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and use good judgment
