Overview

As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Principal – Welding at Honeywell Aerospace, you will provide technical leadership and expertise in advanced manufacturing processes, driving innovation and continuous improvement in manufacturing operations. Your role will enhance operational efficiency, product quality, and competitiveness in the market through advanced manufacturing strategies and cross-functional team leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee advanced welding processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise in advanced manufacturing processes.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing operations and enhance productivity.
  • Develop and implement weld processes to optimize production and drive continuous improvement.
  • Identify and evaluate cutting-edge technologies for adoption in manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Analyze manufacturing data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in advanced manufacturing.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience (6+ years) in welding of aerospace components.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • Proven experience in advanced manufacturing, welding process optimization, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong knowledge of welding technologies such as TIG Welding, Electron beam welding, welding automation, etc.
  • Knowledge of industry specifications such as AWS D17.1 and AMS2750.
  • Familiar with GD&T concepts and symbols.
  • Proficient in Data analytics tools such as Excel.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Experience managing multiple projects in a dynamic global environment.
  • Proven track record of continuous improvement and project execution.
