Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for coordinating all OEM equipment PM service work and internal breakdowns, addressing operational and safety concerns, and ensuring all equipment and machines are in good working order.

Responsibilities

  • Complete preventive maintenance requests for operational equipment.
  • Work with OEM on production equipment including lasers, plasma/flame, press brakes, CNC Mill, and fork trucks.
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
  • Perform facility maintenance tasks and work with outside contractors.
  • Inform production scheduler of routine preventive maintenance performed.
  • Fabricate repair parts using internal engineering and company equipment.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory provided by OEM.
  • Use maintenance resources efficiently to accomplish job results.
  • Troubleshoot and address sudden breakdowns with equipment OEM manufacturers.
  • Prepare mechanical maintenance information and document in company software.
  • Attend educational workshops to maintain technical knowledge.
  • Comply with procedures, rules, and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements

  • High school degree and technical background required, trade/vocational school preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years mechanical experience required, agricultural and/or automotive a plus.
  • Strong background in electrical systems, hydraulics, air brakes, and diesel engines.
  • Great communication skills and ability to work well with others.
  • Able to work without direct supervision.
  • Class A CDL a plus.
  • Service shop experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift heavy mechanical components and work outside in all types of weather.
  • Demonstrated reliable work history and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility.
  • Must be detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality.
