Overview

TRUMPF is a family-run, high-tech company with nearly 19,000 employees at 71 locations worldwide, seeking forward thinkers for an onsite internship in their Flexible Systems Department in Hoffman Estates, IL. This internship offers college-level students practical experience to enhance their classroom learning.

Responsibilities

  • Support layout engineers by preparing layout and foundation drawings.
  • Process building scans.
  • Prepare system 3D assemblies.
  • Prepare 2D layout and foundation drawings.
  • Create technical documentation including system configuration overviews.
  • Prepare guidelines for the layout process.
  • Support with the technical library.
  • Create a SmartSheet dashboard for easy entry of topics.
  • Create work instructions.

Requirements

  • Must be a student enrolled in an accredited university or institution pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong inter-personal communication skills.
  • Ability to work as a team player.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks for 3D modeling.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Good technical understanding of process flows.
