Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of plant/buildings and grounds equipment, including troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. The role involves working closely with plant operations and engineering teams to ensure machinery operates efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repair of all plant/buildings and grounds equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, conduct preventive maintenance, and predictive maintenance.
  • Upload, download, configure, modify and troubleshoot PLC programs and process instruments.
  • Build and wire control panels for machinery per blueprints and schematics.
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
  • Ensure operation of machinery by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
  • Perform daily rounds in maintenance, including monitoring fire systems.
  • Interact with plant floor employees for process improvement ideas.
  • Support plant operations by collaborating with Process Engineering and maintenance team members.
  • Manage computerized maintenance management system for work orders.

Requirements

  • High school Diploma or GED.
  • Experience with Siemens Step7 / TIA and Allen Bradley RS5000 software highly preferred.
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Ability to operate lift trucks with various attachments.
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends.
  • Two to five years of customer service or equivalent experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • SAP software experience.
  • Demonstrated organizational abilities and priority setting.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office products.
