Overview

Join Siemens Healthineers as a Field Service Engineer specializing in Proton Therapy, where you will provide essential customer support and ensure the optimal operation and maintenance of Proton Therapy Systems across multiple sites, primarily in New York, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain professional knowledge and safety consciousness according to Varian/SHS guidelines.
  • Provide visible customer support and assist in the operation of the Proton Therapy System.
  • Serve as a liaison with the customer on technical and administrative matters.
  • Perform operational quality checks and planned maintenance in a timely manner.
  • Provide accurate and detailed field service reports.
  • Complete assignments, Service Technical Bulletins, and upgrades on time.
  • Complete mandatory training and certifications to maintain FDA compliance.
  • Become proficient in internal software applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, and Salesforce.
  • Support other field service roles as needed.
  • Meet all Vendor Credentialing requirements for client site access.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Engineering Technologies or 2 years of applicable experience.
  • Ability to occasionally work at heights above 20 feet or in cramped spaces.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to troubleshoot using technical drawings and root cause methodologies.
  • Intermediate knowledge in the use of mechanical and electrical tooling.

Additional Information

  • Position requires availability for short notice travel to other Proton Therapy sites.
  • Work schedule may include various shifts and up to 85% travel.
