Overview

The Sidel Blow Molding Maintenance Specialist is responsible for solving complex equipment issues in a high-speed manufacturing environment. This role involves performing maintenance on various machinery and ensuring production efficiency through preventive and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform both scheduled and reactive maintenance on plant machinery and production assets.
  • Troubleshoot across mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration domains.
  • Execute preventive and corrective maintenance; complete efficient repairs.
  • Rapidly diagnose root causes to cut downtime.
  • Assist with installations, modifications, commissioning, and line changeovers.
  • Read and apply mechanical drawings, schematics, manuals, and technical docs.
  • Inspect equipment daily and escalate major concerns to Maintenance leadership.
  • Support blow molders, fillers, conveyors, palletizers, packaging lines, and more.
  • Open/close work orders and maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Respond under pressure during breakdowns to stabilize production.
  • Follow safety, GMP, food safety, quality, sanitation, and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized workspace.
  • Operate, monitor, adjust, and troubleshoot Sidel blow molding equipment.
  • Lead machine changeovers, start-ups, critical adjustments, and major repairs.
  • Maintain systems such as SBO, Matrix, Universal, Series 2, or comparable units.
  • Resolve mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic and basic electrical issues on Sidel platforms.
  • Partner with QC to ensure bottle quality meets standards.
  • Advance bottle quality, process improvements, and downtime reduction.
  • Clean, sanitize, and maintain blow molding and related equipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Industrial maintenance or related mechanical/manufacturing equipment experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and respond quickly to equipment problems.
  • Available to work at least 48 hours per week, plus overtime/weekends/holidays when needed.
  • Safe work practices around production equipment and moving machinery.
  • Capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling for the shift.
  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Comfort with warm, loud, wet, and fast-paced environments.
  • Willing to wear all required PPE.

  • Pay: $25.00–$45.00 per hour, based on experience
  • Schedule: All shifts; highest need on 3rd shift
  • Hours: Minimum 48 hours per week
