Overview

Avient is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift, responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment to ensure optimal operation. The role requires a multi-skilled individual who can contribute to various maintenance activities while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Completes maintenance assignments to maintain equipment in good operating condition.
• Troubleshoots mechanical devices and repairs or replaces defective parts.
• Sets up and operates shop machinery and uses hand tools for repairs.
• Installs or modifies hydraulic and pneumatic equipment as needed.
• Improves reliability and uptime of all equipment with a preventive maintenance approach.
• Operates forklift and hydraulic working platform as needed.
• Researches supplies and parts needed to complete work orders.
• Maintains accurate inventory of parts and updates required paperwork.
• Follows safety, health, and environmental guidelines while performing duties.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Technical School degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of experience in Electrical, Mechanical, Maintenance, and Industrial Operations.
• 5 years of experience in Process Improvements and PLC Troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions.
• Mathematical skills for calculations and conversions.
• Self-motivated with organizational skills.
• Time and priority management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Knowledge of SAP preferred.
