Overview

The Maintenance Technician position at Sub-Zero, Cove and Wolf Appliance involves repairing production equipment and ensuring operational efficiency in a climate-controlled environment. The role requires technical skills and teamwork to maintain high standards in appliance manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Repair production equipment including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical failures.
  • Work with Allen Bradley PLC’s, 500, 5000, Flex Drives and other systems.
  • Read electrical schematics and use test meters.
  • Interface and troubleshoot with various PLC’s.
  • Use blueprints and machine manuals to troubleshoot equipment failures and select repair parts.
  • Perform root cause analysis and document information in CMMS programs.
  • Fabricate tools, jigs, fixtures, and perform welding and general fabrication.
  • Conduct safety checklists including checks on fire extinguishers and building lights.
  • Work effectively in a team environment with routine and rapid changes.
  • Communicate regularly with coworkers, Operations, Supervision, Engineering, Safety, OEM MFG, parts suppliers, and outside vendors.
  • Demonstrate safe work practices including LOTO and fall protection.

Requirements

  • Ability to read electrical schematics.
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting.
  • Skills in fabrication and welding.
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis.

Additional Information

  • 2nd Shift - Monday to Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
  • Training on 1st shift may be required.
