Overview

FCC Environmental Services, LLC is looking for an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic in Dallas, TX, to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on fixed equipment in the Material Recovery Facility Waste Facility under the supervision of the Plant Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose or troubleshoot mechanical problems using charts, technical manuals and expertise.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on recycling equipment and C&D equipment to maximize safe and productive operations.
  • Replace conveyor belts, electrical motors, hydraulic cylinders and other mechanical parts.
  • Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level and placing orders.
  • Use hand tools, power tools and electrical tools.
  • Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
  • Cut with torch and weld.
  • Repair and install plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Work on heights using Aerial Working Platform (boom lift, scissor lifts etc.).
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • At least 3-5 years of industrial experience, training, or a combination.
  • Strong background on hydraulic and pneumatic system troubleshooting and repair.
  • PLC troubleshooting and problem-solving ability with practical, mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient with OXY/Acet torch.
  • Proficient in all welding processes.
  • Prior experience working with conveyors.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • CMMS software experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Mechanical or trade school certificate.
  • Must be willing to work any shift & some weekends.
