Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance work on production machinery at the Warminster plant, focusing on quality, customer service, and HSSE. The role involves maintaining equipment and ensuring a safe and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all plant equipment such as blending and packaging equipment, valves, pumps, conveyors, hot oil and steam systems.
  • Maintain equipment, materials, and work areas to ensure they are clean, safe, and organized.
  • Perform manual labor tasks in a skillful, controlled, safe and professional manner.
  • Review, initiate and complete work orders, preventative maintenance, corrective work, and predictive maintenance assignments.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting techniques to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Assess projects and develop a bill of materials for parts and equipment.
  • Assist in maintaining an adequate inventory of replacement parts and shop materials.
  • Take action to identify and prevent problems related to HSSE and Quality.
  • Perform work in skilled areas of fabrication, assembly, welding, cutting and pipefitting.
  • Participate in Control of Work (CoW) risk assessments.
  • Execute and complete CoW permits and energy isolations as required.
  • Work within a shared leadership team environment while following BP standards.
  • Complete Safety Observation Conversations (SoC) and Quality Observation Conversations (QoC) as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Willing to work day shift hours 7am-3pm or 8am-4pm, but train on various shifts.
  • Capable of operating motorized equipment.
  • Basic understanding of computer programs such as e-mail and data entry.
  • Familiar with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as Ultimo or SAP.

  • No travel is expected with this role.
  • This role is not eligible for relocation.
  • This position is not available for remote working.
