Overview

The Maintenance Shop Welder at Republic Services is responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on vehicle components, utilizing various welding techniques and ensuring adherence to safety policies. Republic Services is a leader in the environmental services industry, providing comprehensive waste management solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Cuts/welds repairs to vehicle floors, bodies, packing blades, rails, and fabrication.
  • Welds steel and aluminum components using Mig and arc welding equipment.
  • Bends steel components using a break and shear.
  • Cuts steel using a plasma cutter or torch.
  • Fabricates steel components on trucks.
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures.
  • Completes required paperwork.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year welding experience.
  • Attention to Detail – Notices small things that others often overlook.
  • Communication – Provides supervisors and co-workers with necessary information.
  • Customer Service – Acts professionally and courteously towards customers and co-workers.
  • Dependability – Follows through and adheres to the established work schedule.
