Overview

The Welder position at Claypool involves joining stainless-steel components using TIG welding, adhering to work instructions and blueprints while following Tecomet's principles of continuous improvement and customer-driven innovation.

Responsibilities

• Weld manufactured parts to print specifications using TIG Welding System.
• Verify materials and identify various weld materials for proper completion.
• Monitor fitting, burning, and welding processes to prevent overheating and warping.
• Examine work pieces for defects and measure them for specification compliance.
• Create and maintain accurate quality records per the company's quality system.
• Interpret complex drawings using geometric tolerances.
• Perform other duties or special projects as assigned by supervisor.
• Work overtime as needed to meet production schedules.
• Follow safety practices and inspect products as required.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum one year experience in a welding role.
• TIG welding experience preferred.
• Knowledge of welding techniques, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and operating instructions.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and exercise judgment.
