Overview

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG welding on aerospace stainless steel and inconel hardware using manual and/or automatic equipment.
  • Conduct weld preparation including cutting, blending, chamfering, and cleaning parts.
  • Provide design support and fabricate tooling for welding and assembly.
  • Communicate with engineers on design concepts and suggest improvements.
  • Perform strip welding and installation on flight hardware.
  • Review, edit, and follow work instructions.
  • Safely work within an industrial environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience with TIG welding of aerospace stainless steels and aluminum, inconel alloys.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to use precision hand tools, standard mechanical tools, and fabrication shop equipment.
  • Familiarity with personal computers.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S.
