Overview

Trident Consulting is seeking an Assembler Mechanical II / Gas Turbine Mechanic for a client in Houston, TX. The successful candidate will support the Turbomachinery & Process Solutions organization by troubleshooting, testing, assembling, disassembling, inspecting, repairing, and modifying turbine and aero equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, test, assemble, and disassemble turbine and aero equipment.
  • Perform visual inspections of equipment and components.
  • Assist with repairing and modifying non-conforming equipment.
  • Perform testing with minimal supervision or instruction.
  • Provide technical support across the business as needed.
  • Follow detailed work routers and procedures for inspection and repair.
  • Work with rotating equipment while meeting time and quality requirements.
  • Follow all Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on mechanical experience.
  • Familiarity with hand, pneumatic, and hydraulic tooling.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment, including ID/OD micrometers, depth micrometers, and calipers.
  • Ability to independently read and understand complex machining and assembly drawings.
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions, routers, and inspection procedures.
  • Experience working with mechanical assemblies or rotating equipment.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a time-sensitive manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
