Overview

Total Safety is seeking a Fire Pump Technician to provide service inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair for various fire equipment. The company is a leading provider of integrated safety and compliance services.

Responsibilities

  • Perform shop service and field inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire equipment.
  • Complete all documentation associated with inspection and repair in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Conduct detailed visual inspections and system functional tests to report deficiencies and recommendations.
  • Conduct pre-job, job update, and post job completion briefs.
  • Assist in facilities by stocking shelves and loading customer orders.
  • Maintain work area and assigned vehicle in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Operate electronic safety and communications systems.
  • Assist others as needed.

Requirements

  • 5 - 10 years in petro-chem fire protection industry.
  • Must have RME-I Fire Sprinkler license.
  • 2 - 3 years fire pump experience.
  • Must be willing to travel 50% of the year.
  • Must be willing to work overtime.
  • Must have a basic understanding of troubleshooting fire protection systems.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance.
  • Must be able to obtain TWIC card and pass required safety testing.
  • Must have Texas State Fire Licenses (FAL/FEL) and pass NICET Level II testing within 12 months of hire.
  • Ability to operate and maintain electronic safety equipment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards such as State, OSHA, and NFPA regulations.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
