Job Description
Overview
Arc is on a mission to electrify the marine industry by rethinking powertrains, software, and vessel designs. They are scaling production of their flagship model and extending their platform to commercial applications, with a focus on tugs, ferries, and defense.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and disassemble electric powertrain systems and instrumentation
- Advise on the design of assemblies, components, and testing
- Set up and utilize test equipment, including digital multimeters, HIPOT machines, and power supplies
- Perform component assembly inspections and complete documentation
- Contribute to improving workshop standards, protocols, and processes
Requirements
- Proficiency using mechanical and electric hand tools
- Experience in building and troubleshooting electromechanical systems, including electric motors, batteries, sensors, electronics, controls, and pneumatics
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and product data sheets
- Ability to stand for extended periods (6-10 hours per day)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work extended hours as needed to meet production demands
