Overview

The Marvin Group is a leading defense contractor specializing in the development and manufacturing of military aerospace and vehicle systems. They are seeking an Electrical Assembler III for the late shift to assemble complex electrical and electromechanical assemblies according to engineering specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble complex electrical assemblies, cable harnesses, and electromechanical assemblies per engineering drawings and aerospace standards.
  • Perform precision wire routing, crimping, soldering, and component integration.
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings, BOMs, assembly travelers, and wiring diagrams.
  • Conduct soldering and inspection activities in compliance with IPC-J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 requirements.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment.
  • Conduct in-process inspections and verify product conformity to quality standards.
  • Identify, document, and escalate nonconforming material or process deviations.
  • Support root cause and corrective action activities related to quality or production issues.
  • Maintain accurate production records and traceability documentation.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, continuous improvement, and error-proofing initiatives.
  • Operate and support automated or semi-automated assembly equipment.
  • Assist Manufacturing Engineering with process validation and workflow optimization.
  • Train and mentor Electrical Assemblers Level I and II.
  • Maintain compliance with ESD, FOD, safety, and clean manufacturing requirements.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Planning, and Production leadership.

Requirements

  • 2-Yr Technical degree.
  • 5-7 years of experience.
  • IPC-610 Certification: The Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies.
  • IPC-620 Certification: Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies or equivalent.
  • J-STD-001 Certification: Soldered Electrical & Electronic Assemblies.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints and/or schematics.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Ability to perform moderate, demanding, physical and repetitious work.
  • Must be able to speak/read/write English.
  • Must be able to lift 35 lbs.

Additional Information

  • Work schedule: 2:00pm - 10:30pm M-F (Late Shift).
  • Location: Southern California near Los Angeles International Airport.
  • Must meet export control compliance requirements.
