Job Description

Overview

As an AI&T Engineering Intern, you will work across all of the engineering teams in the company to efficiently build and test a reliable and high-performance spacecraft. This internship is 12 weeks long from May/June through August/September 2027.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build fluid, mechanical and electrical test systems in support of liquid rocket propulsion and spacecraft systems testing.
  • Collaborate with wide ranging teams across the company, including Redondo Beach and Mojave.
  • Perform test setup, hardware inspections, checkouts and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Conduct test operations geared toward rapidly developing hardware for spaceflight.
  • Write and maintain work instructions, test plans, and other critical documentation.
  • Work on methods for accelerating the rate that we can build and process vehicles.
  • Work on tooling and fixturing that supports assembly and transport.
  • Resolve technical issues with innovative and resourceful solutions.

Requirements

  • Working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to take project ownership and work well cross-functionally.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience working with fluid or mechanical systems.

Additional Information

  • Willing and able to work on-site in Redondo Beach, CA for the duration of the internship.
  • This role may require overtime hours; interns are eligible for overtime pay.
