Overview

Connections Personnel is hiring for a Direct Hire Technician on the 2nd shift from 3pm to 11:30pm for a client located in Springfield, NJ. The ideal candidate will have experience as a mechanic in military services or as an auto mechanic with knowledge of mechanical components on vehicles or aircraft.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly and performance testing of mechanical and/or electro-mechanical fluid-control devices in accordance with engineering procedures, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Operate, maintain, and help develop high-pressure test systems, including pneumatic, hydraulic, and calibration-fluid test stands and pumps.
  • Conduct electrical testing and verification using a variety of electronic diagnostic tools.
  • Work within controlled clean-room environments and conduct particulate analysis with accurate data collection.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and validate hardware using systematic diagnostic methods.
  • Utilize oscilloscopes and other diagnostic equipment to support testing and analysis.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Lift and move equipment or components up to 50 lbs as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of technical or mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Experience using various hand and measurement tools including torque wrenches, height gauges, and calipers.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical procedures.
  • Proven experience assembling and testing electro-mechanical hardware.
  • Hands-on experience with high-pressure fluid, gas, and cryogenic testing.
  • Proficiency in electrical testing, including dielectric and insulation-resistance testing.
  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience working in clean-room environments.
  • Manufacturing or machining experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair hardware using diagnostic tools.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
