Overview

A growing food manufacturing facility in Bergen County is looking for an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join its night-shift team. This hands-on role involves supporting production equipment, facility needs, equipment modifications, repairs, and custom fabrication projects throughout the plant.

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG welding and stainless-steel fabrication.
  • Complete sanitary welding and fabrication on equipment used within a food production environment.
  • Fabricate, modify, repair, and install equipment and components.
  • Build and repair guards, brackets, frames, supports, and custom-fabricated pieces.
  • Perform cutting, fitting, grinding, measuring, layout, and finishing.
  • Work from blueprints, sketches, measurements, and existing equipment.
  • Support maintenance and engineering with equipment repairs, modifications, and improvement projects.
  • Maintain sanitary standards and proper weld finishes required for food-processing equipment.

Requirements

  • Sanitary welding/fabrication experience - REQUIRED.
  • Strong TIG welding experience.
  • Strong stainless-steel fabrication background.
  • Experience producing clean, precise welds and sanitary finishes.
  • Experience working on equipment within food, beverage, pharmaceutical, dairy, cosmetic, medical, or another sanitary manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to fabricate from prints, measurements, sketches, or existing equipment.
  • Strong cutting, fitting, grinding, layout, and finishing skills.
  • Ability to work independently on fabrication and equipment-repair projects.
