Overview

Lift Solutions is seeking a Welder to join their team, offering opportunities to advance in a company that values skills and provides industrial lifting solutions across various industries.

Responsibilities

  • Layout/manufacturing of electric overhead bridge cranes.
  • Perform welding tasks on various materials, such as steel, aluminum, and other metals, using various welding processes to meet precise quality standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to fabricate custom parts and assemblies for overhead cranes and lifting equipment.
  • Assemble fabricated components into final products, ensuring structural integrity and alignment.
  • Inspect and test welds and finished products to ensure adherence to safety standards and quality control requirements.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fabrication equipment and tools.
  • Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Troubleshoot fabrication issues and identify solutions to maintain workflow and quality.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints for layout, cut, and various metal shapes and sizes.
  • 3+ years of experience as a welder and fabricator in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques and metalworking processes, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to follow OSHA guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality assurance practices.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Driver’s License, required.

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG, TIG, and Stick work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle. It lays down metal fast and is forgiving on clean material, which is why it dominates production and light fabrication work. TIG (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode with filler added by hand, giving the operator the most control of any process. It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
