Overview

MiniMed is seeking a Technician III to join their team, contributing to the innovation and support of people living with diabetes. The role involves performing various technical duties related to electronic, mechanical, and optical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
  • Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
  • Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
  • Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
  • Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.

Requirements

  • Requires minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent (United States), vocational or technical education or certification (all other countries).
  • Demonstrated experience in thin-film metrology for advanced manufacturing is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with metal sputtering and system maintenance is preferred.
  • Familiarity with wet coating and photolithography processes is preferred.
  • Experience working in a class 100 or better clean room environment is preferred.
  • Prior work experience in a certified medical devices laboratory is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Experience in managing relationships with external vendors and contractors is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems is preferred.
  • Experience in wet chemistry processing, handling and disposal is preferred.
  • Experience writing SOPs and preparing documents for quality management is preferred.
