Job Description

Overview

Fluidstack is focused on delivering large-scale compute infrastructure for AI, aiming to expand human freedom through technology. The Designer/Detailer role involves producing detailed mechanical and structural models for factory-built data center units.

Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed mechanical and structural models and drawings for factory construction.
  • Detail steel and mechanical systems to fabrication level, ensuring clarity for fitters.
  • Quickly turn engineering changes into updated drawing packages with clean revision tracking.
  • Maintain model hygiene by enforcing standards, libraries, and templates.

Requirements

  • Experience detailing for fabrication in structural steel, skids, piping, or modular assemblies.
  • Ability to create drawings that shops can build from without additional communication.
  • Proficient in modeling to standards and maintaining library discipline under pressure.
  • Experience managing revisions effectively during engineering changes.
  • Knowledge of fabrication processes including welds, bends, tolerances, and clearances.
  • Familiarity with Tekla or Advance Steel, plant and BIM modeling, and AISC detailing standards is a bonus.
