Overview

Pelican Products Inc. is seeking an Assembler II to join their team in Torrance, CA. The company specializes in engineering high-performance protective solutions for military personnel, first responders, and outdoor adventurers, ensuring that their products stand up to tough conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Use hand tools, fixtures, and work instructions to assemble, inspect, and pack injection molded protective cases.
  • Assemble parts and drill holes according to verbal and SOP work instructions.
  • Perform visual and in-process inspections of parts to ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Pack completed products into boxes with customized labels for identification and traceability.
  • Perform re-inspection, re-work, sorting, and cleaning of plastic parts as requested.
  • Rotate through different tasks on the assembly line.
  • Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Track Production Balance Sheets to prevent over runs.
  • Operate auxiliary equipment such as drilling fixtures and pin installation fixtures.
  • Stop material blender and close water circulation in the mold; return all equipment to storage upon work completion.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated proficiency at operating 90% of manufacturing cases workstations as documented by training records.
  • Must rotate throughout Manufacturing Cases and Component Molding.
  • Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions.
  • Thorough understanding of large and small press operations, part numbers, names, and colors.
