Job Description
Overview
The job is for Pipe Welders at a fabrication shop in Port Allen, LA, requiring proficiency in TIG/Stick and TIG/Fluxcore welding and the ability to pass welding tests. Candidates will work under a foreman, interpreting weld maps and procedures while ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Interpret weld maps and procedures.
- Identify material types and weld pipe spools.
- Read and sign off on JSA prior to starting shift.
- Pass required welding tests in various positions and processes.
- Grind tacks with pneumatic grinders.
- Assist in setting up and taking down pipe spools.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of experience in specified skill preferred.
- Pass pre-employment qualification test and required welding tests.
- Complete post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
- Undergo Hazard Communication orientation/test.
- Complete Turner Industries Group Indoctrination.
- Wear OSHA approved corrective eyewear.
- Meet job site orientation and PPE requirements.
