Overview

Wieland is a global leader in copper and copper alloy manufacturing, processing, and distribution. The company is hiring a Pressure Vessel Welder responsible for performing a variety of welding operations while adhering to ASME Code Safety Regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Follow the production orders, prepare parts and weld components into assemblies.
  • Execute welds in accordance with company procedures and documents, while meeting defined quality standards.
  • Maintain a safe and organized working environment.
  • Properly maintain tools and equipment assigned to perform duties.
  • Identify and implement safety improvements.

Requirements

  • Level I: At least 1-3 years' experience or commensurate education from trade school.
  • Level I: Capable of MIG and TIG welding of parts and pipe, but not yet certified with the company for welding of parts under pressure.
  • Level I: Ability to read and apply WPS, read drawings.
  • Level I: Strong aptitude for problem solving and teamwork.
  • Level I: Methodical, organized, and precise.
  • Level I: Proactive in proposing solutions.
  • Level II: At least 3+ years' experience in MIG and TIG welding of pipe or pressure vessels.
  • Level II: Experience and certification in welding in accordance to ASME standard.
  • Level II: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor issues related to fitting and welding components.
  • Level II: Strong aptitude for problem solving and teamwork.
  • Level II: Methodical, organized, and precise.
  • Level II: Proactive in proposing solutions.
  • Level III: At least 5+ years’ experience in MIG and TIG welding of pipe or pressure vessels.
  • Level III: Experience and certification in welding in accordance to ASME standard.
  • Level III: Ability to read and apply WPS, read drawings, and teach others to do so.
  • Level III: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to fitting and welding components.
  • Level III: Strong aptitude for problem solving and teamwork.
  • Level III: Methodical, organized, and precise.
  • Level III: Proactive in proposing solutions.

  • Schedule: 2nd shift Monday - Thursday | 4:00pm - 2:30am
  • Training will be on 1st Shift (2-4 weeks) Monday – Thursday | 6:00am-4:30pm

What you'll be running
