Overview

Singer Vehicle Design is seeking a Bodying Technician to join their team in Torrance, CA, where they restore and reimagine Porsche 911s. The ideal candidate will have a passion for beautiful cars and a meticulous approach to their work.

Responsibilities

  • Work with a team of technicians to trim, assemble, fixture, and bond composite body panels to high-end automotive chassis.
  • Assist in special projects and set up of fixtures as required.
  • Prepare and stage upcoming production builds before they enter the department.
  • Adjust and repair steel chassis as necessary for panel fitment.
  • Prep, fixture, and bond composite panels to achieve gap and flush specifications.
  • Report any issues/delays in production line to lead and ensure correction in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Effective communicator that works well on a team and can multitask efficiently.
  • Meticulous in work and constantly striving for improvement.
  • Ability to follow precise work instructions while maintaining accountability and accurate work documentation.
  • Basic competency in GMAW (MIG) welding process.
  • Basic competency with manual and pneumatic hand tools.
  • Basic competency with panel trimming and body panel alignment.
  • General knowledge of composite fabrication methods with carbon fiber materials.
