Overview

California Rehabilitation Institute, a Joint Venture with Cedars, UCLA, and Select Medical, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for a full-time position in Century City - Los Angeles, CA. The role involves performing general building, mechanical, and preventive maintenance tasks while ensuring patient and employee safety.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with maintenance, monitoring, and performance of preventive maintenance on all equipment.
  • Monitor operation, adjust, and maintain refrigeration, chilled water, and air conditioning equipment.
  • Analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions, and take corrective action.
  • Assist with the installation and repair of plumbing, piping, and tubing.
  • Install and rebuild pumps and motors, and replace bearings and seals as needed.
  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical controls and motor controls.
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to electrical circuits and mechanical systems.
  • Monitor operations and maintain various mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Perform building repairs such as patching, sanding, and painting.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with HVAC.
  • Current and valid Driver's License required.
  • Trade or Vocational School background preferred.
  • HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical certifications a plus.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance, repair, and safety procedures required.
  • Current Black Seal License preferred.
