Overview

Silent-Aire, a division of Johnson Controls, is a global leader in owner equipment manufacturing (OEM) dedicated to providing custom solutions for data center customers. The Plumber position involves assisting with various plumbing tasks and requires a strong understanding of industrial plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assists Electricians, Welders, and Assemblers as necessary for projects.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Able to braze AND solder copper pipe ½” – 4”.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques.
  • Able to work with PVC pipe.
  • Experience with power tools.
  • Performs other assigned work as required.
  • Must be able to read blueprints and follow SOP’s.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an industrial plumber.
  • Strong understanding of industrial plumbing systems.
  • Completion of college/vocational or technical training preferred.
  • Appropriate credentials and certifications.
  • Ability to work shift work.
  • Ability to work in small spaces.
  • Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
  • Highly flexible with solid interpersonal skills.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to work well under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to deal with people tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.

Additional Information

  • 2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday: 2:00 pm - 12:30 am.
  • This position requires shop work and adherence to safety policies.
