Overview

Aecon is a leading company in delivering complex infrastructure projects, focusing on safety, integrity, and inclusion. They are seeking a piping designer with experience in power generation and heavy industrial projects to join their team in either Mt. Laurel, NJ or Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities

  • Design medium to complex mechanical/piping systems using 2D and 3D design tools.
  • Prepare drawings using project specifications and discipline-associated instructions.
  • Develop piping and instrument diagrams (P&IDs), general arrangement drawings (GA), and isometric drawings.
  • Review mechanical supplier documents for accuracy.
  • Coordinate mechanical/piping design activities with other discipline groups.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in piping design or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant design experience in powerplant piping and support design.
  • Proficiency with AutoDesk Plant3D, P&ID, and AutoCAD.
  • Proficient with Bentley MicroStation.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
