Overview

The Lead Rebar Fabricator position at White Cap involves leading the manufacturing of customized rebar products, overseeing daily fabrication activities, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. Responsibilities

  • Leads and performs fabrication of rebar products based on work orders and specifications.
  • Prepares, operates, and optimizes rebar fabrication equipment while providing guidance to team members.
  • Coordinates and oversees material handling to maintain efficient production flow.
  • Conducts inspections of finished materials to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Identifies defects or production issues and implements corrective actions.
  • Ensures proper preparation of completed products for shipment.
  • Promotes and enforces a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Provides direction, support, and informal training to team members.
  • Performs work in both indoor and outdoor environments, adapting to varying conditions.

Requirements

  • Technical certification or associate degree may be required in some areas.
  • Generally, 7+ years of experience in the area of responsibility.
  • Advanced experience in rebar fabrication or related production environment.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret complex work orders and specifications.
  • Proven experience operating and troubleshooting fabrication machinery.
  • Forklift and/or overhead crane certification required.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
  • Prior experience providing guidance or training to others in a production environment preferred.

Additional Information

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes.
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
  • Performs duties in an outdoor environment with exposure to temperature extremes and mechanical equipment.
