Overview

At Parker Aerospace, we develop technologies and innovative solutions for the lifecycle of aircraft, including aftermarket support. As a Metal Worker, you will play a crucial role in assembling and testing products to meet customer quality and delivery schedules while contributing to lean initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles/tests moderately complex products using mechanical skills and tools.
  • Reviews job components and quantities to ensure availability for tasks.
  • Counts and sizes tubes for chemical cleaning daily.
  • Buffs, hazes, or removes discoloration and chemically cleans parts as required.
  • Sleeves, boxes, and ensures paperwork is signed off after inspection.
  • Applies epoxy tape and installs inserts and rivets to brackets.
  • Identifies non-conformances from test data and reworks as instructed.
  • Interprets blueprints, engineering orders, and customer requirements.
  • Inspects, measures, verifies, and approves assemblies and paperwork.
  • Participates in lean/continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two or more years of industry-related experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrates product and process knowledge.
  • Able to select appropriate procedures, techniques, tools, and equipment.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints and test specifications.
  • Strong mechanical reasoning skills.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Ability to interpret reports and use standard business software applications.
