At Freeport-McMoRan, the Boilermaker Welder Repair Employee will assist with the assembly, maintenance, and repair of boilers and pressure vessels in a collaborative and safety-focused environment. The company emphasizes employee growth and offers a comprehensive employment package.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with and perform duties related to assembly, maintenance, and repair of boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, and vats.
  • Perform routine maintenance activities.
  • Complete Work Orders and other maintenance documentation.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • One (1) year of experience in the crafts of welder/boilermaker or a combination of education and experience.
  • Associates degree from an accredited college in an applicable field or Trade School equivalent.
  • Must have completed academic and practical competencies required.
  • Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English.
  • Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards.

  • Work is performed in a mine or manufacturing plant setting.
  • Employee may be required to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Will be required to work rotating shifts in a 24/7/365 operation.
