Overview

WIN Waste Innovations is looking for a Welder to perform various welding and fabrication tasks. The company is committed to delivering essential waste management solutions and has a strong focus on environmental preservation.

Responsibilities

  • Performs repairs and maintenance on front and rear load, and roll-off containers.
  • Cuts/weld repairs to vehicle floors, bodies, packing blades, and rails.
  • Grinds metal parts after welding.
  • Welds steel and aluminum components using Mig, Tig, and arc welding equipment.
  • Bends steel components using a break and shear.
  • Cuts steel using a plasma cutter or torch.
  • Fabrics steel components on trucks and containers.
  • Installs lids and wheels on containers.
  • Paints repaired and/or new containers.
  • Performs on-site repairs at customer locations.
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures.
  • Completes required paperwork.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Maintains a positive work environment by communicating effectively with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers, and management.

Requirements

  • One year welding experience.
  • Use of computers to update assigned work orders.
  • Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License preferred.

What you'll be running

This posting calls for MIG and TIG work. MIG (GMAW) feeds a continuous wire electrode through a shielding-gas nozzle. It lays down metal fast and is forgiving on clean material, which is why it dominates production and light fabrication work. TIG (GTAW) uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode with filler added by hand, giving the operator the most control of any process. It is slow, demanding, and the standard for stainless, aluminum, and anything where the bead has to look as good as it holds.
