Overview

The Welding Fabricator position involves using various welding techniques and equipment to fabricate, assemble, and maintain metal components and systems. The role requires skills in welding, cutting, and metal fabrication to support industrial production and processing systems.

Responsibilities

  • Use hand welding and flame-cutting equipment to weld metal components and parts.
  • Cut, trim, or scarf metal objects to specified dimensions.
  • Perform welding jobs using MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques.
  • Layout, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related equipment.
  • Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products and equipment.
  • Set up and operate fabricating machines to cut, bend, and straighten sheet metal.
  • Shape metal using hammers and operate soldering and welding equipment.
  • Inspect, assemble, and smooth seams and joints of sheet metal parts.
  • Solder components to assemble fabricated metal products.
  • Fit parts of structural metal products.
