Overview

Sunbelt Supply is a global provider of flow control solutions, specializing in valves, actuators, and automation services. The Service Shop Technician role involves assembling, repairing, and maintaining products in a shop environment using technical skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provides expertise related to product implementation and continued service.
• Provides technical solutions and design implementations for products and services.
• Builds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies equipment, parts, components and assemblies.
• Analyzes and interprets test data.
• Evaluates performance and reliability of materials.
• Repairs customer equipment including disassembly, degreasing, replacing needed parts and reassembling to OEM specifications.
• Performs routine analysis and calculation and recommends changes.
• Diagnoses and reports malfunctions.
• Learns and understands particular technical equipment; attends training and completes certification as required.
• Mounts electric actuators to valves, sets up for valve and component automation, and follows dimensional and electrical drawings.

Requirements

• 2-year technical degree.
• 3-5 years’ experience in area of responsibility.
• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge and ability to interpret wiring schematics.
• Understanding of motor control circuits and control systems.
• Experience using overhead cranes, forklifts, and hand tools.
• Good knowledge of power tools and mechanical tools.

Additional Information

• Operates in a warehouse environment with standard office equipment.
• Occasional visits to warehouses or operational sites may be required.
