Overview

Craig Technologies is seeking a Propulsion Plumbing Design and Fabrication Engineer to support the design, CAD routing, fabrication, and assembly of propulsion system fluid plumbing and associated hardware. The company aims to make space accessible to everyone by enhancing low-cost access to space.

Responsibilities

• Design and route spacecraft propulsion system plumbing, including high-pressure tubing and fittings.
• Generate and maintain detailed CAD models and manufacturing drawings for precision fabrication.
• Design and implement welding fixtures and develop clean-room orbital welding procedures.
• Provide engineering oversight of fabrication, orbital tube welding, and manifold assembly activities.
• Assist with propulsion system assembly, leak checkout, and mechanical integration for ground tests.
• Evaluate fluid lines for thermal insulation and routing in extreme environments.
• Support anomaly resolution and material compatibility reviews for flight plumbing.
• Contribute to general propulsion engineering tasks as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Junior Engineer: Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree.
• Direct experience in CAD-based mechanical design and fluid routing.
• Working understanding of high-pressure fluid or spacecraft pressure systems.
• Experience with orbital tube welding processes or weld inspection techniques.
• Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing workflows and quality travelers.
• Strong attention to detail and safety protocols.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-disciplinary environment.

Additional Information

• Location: Houston, TX or Merritt Island, FL.

• Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible for required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
