Overview

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Technician with a strong background in industrial mechanical systems, stainless steel piping, and high-pressure systems. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing facility equipment and infrastructure in a demanding industrial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on facility systems, mechanical equipment, piping, pumps, valves, and related infrastructure.
  • Install, modify, repair, and troubleshoot stainless steel piping and process systems.
  • Work safely and effectively with high-pressure systems operating at 200+ PSI.
  • Diagnose leaks, pressure issues, equipment failures, and mechanical problems and determine appropriate corrective action.
  • Inspect piping, fittings, valves, pumps, pressure regulators, and other mechanical components for wear, damage, and potential failure.
  • Perform mechanical repairs, equipment adjustments, and component replacements as needed.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, piping diagrams, equipment manuals, and facility plans.
  • Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment and facility systems.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and document completed work.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and mechanical equipment safely and effectively.
  • Coordinate with contractors and outside service providers when specialized repairs or installations are required.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment or facility issues to management.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Respond to facility maintenance issues and equipment emergencies as needed.
  • Perform general facility maintenance and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in industrial facilities maintenance, mechanical maintenance, process systems, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated experience working with stainless steel piping and components.
  • Demonstrated experience working with high-pressure systems at 200+ PSI.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and piping diagrams.
  • Experience working with pumps, valves, pressure systems, fittings, and mechanical equipment.
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety and proper procedures when working with pressurized systems.
  • Ability to use common hand tools, power tools, and mechanical testing equipment.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize maintenance issues, and respond effectively to equipment problems.
