Job Description

Overview

Syensqo is a science company focused on chemistry and innovation, seeking a Pilot Plant Team Leader to lead operations in their Anaheim, CA facility. The role involves ensuring safety, managing processes, and supporting product development while fostering teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Lead with HSE practices applicable to chemical and mechanical processing.
  • Manage the scheduling of people and equipment against competing priorities.
  • Safely operate industrial/pilot resin mixing and coating equipment.
  • Support R&I scale-up or process development in an evolving environment.
  • Understand and implement formulas, batch sheets, and technical procedures.
  • Coordinate maintenance and logistics for raw materials.
  • Communicate directly with product development and operations teams.
  • Train and upskill technicians on operational needs and SAP use.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; relevant technical degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in relevant manufacturing environments.
  • 3+ years in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated experience with resin mixing/compounding and continuous web processes.
  • Experience with R&I scale-up and evolving manufacturing processes.
  • Working knowledge of equipment, chemical safety, and related practices.
