Overview

We are looking for a Structural Steel Detailer for a full-service Structural Steel Fabrication company in Anaheim. As an industrial TEKLA structural steel detailer, you will be responsible for modeling and creating shop and erection drawings using CAD design software.

Responsibilities

  • Use Tekla Structures to create plans, elevations, and details of structural building components.
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and field erection crews.
  • Review structural and architectural drawings and specifications for accuracy.
  • Perform structural steel detailing, including stairs, ladders, and railings.
  • Work alongside project managers to create and submit RFIs.
  • Review and revise drawings based on engineering calculations and field conditions.
  • Adhere to building codes and company design standards while detailing drawings.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of related experience is required.
  • An associate degree or technical trade school in a related field is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the steel industry/construction is preferred.
  • TEKLA Structures experience is essential.
  • Experience with SolidWorks or AutoCAD is preferred.
  • Knowledge of AWS (American Welding Society) is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
