Overview

The Manual Lathe/Mill Machining Specialist is responsible for turning complex blueprints into production-ready parts, setting up and running manual lathes, milling machines, and grinders, while ensuring quality and collaborating with various teams to improve processes.

Responsibilities

  • Turn complex blueprints into production-ready parts.
  • Set up and run manual lathes, milling machines, and grinders with confidence.
  • Consistently achieve tight tolerances using proven manual methods.
  • Inspect and verify every feature to ensure quality.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Tooling to improve setups and solve challenges.
  • Keep the workspace safe, organized, and efficient.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in manual machining, including toolmaking, fixturing, and production machining.
  • Fluency in blueprint reading and interpretation.
  • Strong command of GD&T and machine capability/tolerances.
  • Self-starter who also works well across teams.
  • Quality-first mindset and clear communication skills.

  • First-shift stability for work-life balance (first shift hours noted as 5:00 am – 1:30 pm)
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st Shift (5:00 am – 3:30 pm)
