Overview

GXO is seeking a Seasonal Temporary Maintenance Technician I for the 2nd shift to perform diverse duties related to the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of production and facility equipment. The role emphasizes maintaining a positive work environment and ensuring operational efficiency through skilled maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Chucks, 6 River mobile pick units, and other equipment.
  • Repair and maintain a wide variety of equipment associated with the facility.
  • Maintain knowledge of plant layout and current company safety policies.
  • Maintain facilities infrastructure and equipment in various areas including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
  • Perform advanced plumbing work including installing and repairing fixtures.
  • Assist in implementing new processes and equipment.
  • Process products requiring testing and mechanical evaluation.
  • Complete cosmetic repairs to restore products to sellable conditions.
  • Perform scheduled routine machine maintenance.
  • Document preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, and part usages.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of and experience reading simple electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic drawings.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree, specialized vocational training, or equivalent experience in product maintenance.
  • Active Journeyman license.
  • 2 years of facility maintenance experience with strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills.
  • Experience with tools and equipment used in building maintenance and repair.
  • Excellent communication skills with managers, employees, and vendors.

  • Day Shift: Wednesday - Saturday, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM.
  • Duration: 27th September 2026 - 31st December 2026.
