Overview

GTI is a contract manufacturing partner that supports customers in renewable energy, power generation, infrastructure, and industrial systems. They fabricate custom designed enclosures and skids, performing mechanical and electrical integration in-house to deliver turn-key products.

Responsibilities

  • Fit-up piece parts in fixturing according to detail drawings.
  • Tack weld parts together, ensuring dimensions are correct.
  • Weld complete assemblies according to specified standards.
  • Correct fabrication mistakes and incorporate approved design changes.
  • Fabricate shop fixtures as required by assembly personnel.
  • Meet production schedule and quality standards with limited supervision.
  • Utilize hand and power shop tools effectively.
  • Read blueprints and drawings to plan layout and procedures.
  • Determine appropriate welding equipment or methods based on requirements.
  • Set up components for welding according to specifications.
  • Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding.
  • Align components using calipers and rulers, and clamp pieces.
  • Weld components using manual or semi-automatic equipment in various positions.
  • Repair machinery and components by welding and filling gaps.
  • Test and inspect welded surfaces for flaws.
  • Maintain equipment in a safe condition.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a welder.
  • Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures.
  • Experience in using electrical or manual tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing.
  • Attention to detail and deftness.
