Overview

The Field Service / Start-Up Engineer I position in Phoenix, AZ, involves supporting the installation, maintenance, repair, and start-up of semiconductor processing equipment at customer sites. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site service, installation, start-up, maintenance, and repair of semiconductor processing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and minimize downtime.
  • Install and replace equipment parts and perform upgrades/modifications.
  • Respond to emergency service calls as needed.
  • Coordinate with customers, peers, and supervisors to ensure efficient equipment operation.
  • Train customer technicians on equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate service records, reports, tools, vehicles, and company property.
  • Stay current on equipment, tools, procedures, and technical documentation through ongoing training.
  • Maintain professional standards while working at customer sites.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Electronics, Engineering, Technology, or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience maintaining, repairing, installing, or troubleshooting semiconductor capital equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with appropriate hand/power tools.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
  • Ability to understand technical issues related to equipment maintenance, repair, and installation.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 100% domestically.
