Overview

Johnson & Johnson is seeking an R&D Engineering Co-op for the Spring 2027 semester in Irving, Texas, as part of their Aesthetics & Reconstruction Business Unit within MedTech. This role offers students the chance to work in a dynamic R&D environment, contributing to the development of innovative medical technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Design, fabricate, and test prototypes using CAD and rapid prototyping.
  • Generate part, assembly, and drawing files of various components, prototypes, and test fixtures in SolidWorks.
  • Develop and execute test methods to characterize new products.
  • Coordinate with marketing, outside suppliers, and the manufacturing site.
  • Perform hands-on work in the engineering lab and document activities.

Requirements

  • Junior, Senior, or Graduate student at an accredited college/university at the time of co-op.
  • Excellent organization and documentation skills.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work in a team environment.
  • Able to create and modify CAD drawings and design test fixtures.
  • Knowledge in the field of engineering, with required courses and lab experience.

Additional Information

  • Co-op position for Spring 2027 semester (January–June).
  • Must commit to a 40-hour work week during the semester.
  • Must have the ability to travel to the Irving, TX site (relocation is not provided).
  • Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa.
