Communications & Power Industries (CPI)

Overview

As an Assembler IV at Communications & Power Industries, you will perform a variety of electronic, mechanical, or composite assembly tasks in support of the SATCOM Antenna business. This role requires demonstrated skills as a fully experienced and versatile assembler capable of maintaining high production levels and quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform diverse, intricate, high-level electronic, mechanical, or assembly work requiring experience and versatility.
• Use all assembly tools with facility and may make own set-up.
• Comprehensively understand assembly sketches, blueprints, and schematics.
• Perform rework resulting from drawing change notices and initiate as necessary.
• Ensure quality and personal conformance to specifications using appropriate testing equipment.
• Employ an overall understanding of assembly techniques, utilizing skills normally in two or more production areas.
• Train assemblers with less experience and exercise leadership skills within team functions.
• Assist engineering in supporting documentation and process improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as needed or assigned.

Requirements

• Experienced with related tools or machines, capable of intricate work.
• Ability to train and lead others and have a high aptitude for quality and conformance to engineering standards.
• High School Diploma or GED required, AA degree in technical field preferred.
• Ten (10) years’ related assembly experience preferred.
• Good eye/hand coordination.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Above average manual dexterity.
• Able to use microscope for extended periods of time.
• Able to sit/stand for long periods of time.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Additional Information

• Position will begin to report to the Irving location but will transition to the Plano location.
