Overview

Mowi is the world’s leading producer of sustainably farm-raised Atlantic salmon, dedicated to delivering premium seafood. The Maintenance Technician will ensure optimal performance of the company’s equipment and facilities, assisting in reducing idle time due to breakdowns.

Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain production machines and plant facility equipment.
  • Provide emergency repairs of production equipment during production.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance of production equipment during machine service.
  • Utilize mechanical, electrical, pneumatic skills for troubleshooting and repair.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders for maintenance.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance on machines and equipment.
  • Use hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
  • Detect faulty operations and report unusual situations to supervision.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean work areas.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in a plant environment strongly desired.
  • Practical knowledge of plant electrical/mechanical systems.
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred.
  • Studies in Mechanical or Electrical field preferred.
