Overview

The Pump Shop Mechanic at Hydradyne, LLC is responsible for assembling, disassembling, and repairing pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves, while also diagnosing problems and performing tests in both shop and field environments. This full-time position requires hands-on mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety and quality in a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Repair pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves.
• Tear down pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves for repair.
• Identify parts needed for repairs.
• Build new pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves.
• Assist in the machine shop as needed.
• Test completed pumps, motors, valves, and cylinders according to written procedures.
• Clean, lubricate, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.
• Record parts and materials needed and request new parts as necessary.
• Maintain a neat and orderly shop.
• Hone and repair barrels.
• Provide assistance in the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and controls.
• Maintain test stands and equipment in accordance with ISO procedures.
• Know, understand, and abide by environmental policies.
• Weld as needed.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED/Vocational School.
• Three years mechanic experience, hydraulic experience preferred.
• Hands-on mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to pay attention to minute details.
• Ability to identify and correct conditions affecting employee safety.
• Ability to accept responsibility and account for actions.
• Ability to make decisions while following company procedures.
• Ability to use cranes and other heavy and light machines and equipment.

Additional Information

• Works indoors in an uncontrolled temperature environment with occasional work outside.
• Negligible travel required.
• No positions supervised.
