Overview

Summit Midstream Corporation is a Houston-based company focused on developing, owning, and operating midstream energy infrastructure assets in unconventional resource basins across the continental United States. The Mechanic-Journey role involves maintenance and technical repairs for gathering system compression and cryogenic plants.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily repairs and maintenance of compressor stations with various types of compressors.
  • Complete and maintain required work orders.
  • Monitor and adjust equipment for optimum availability and efficiency.
  • Perform maintenance on engines, compressors, dehydrators, and other equipment.
  • Work with craft personnel to resolve equipment/system problems.
  • Report, troubleshoot, and correct abnormal operating conditions.
  • Coordinate and monitor activities of contract personnel.
  • Identify emergency situations and initiate Emergency Response Procedures.
  • Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety policies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training in mechanical or energy-related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years stable work history in the energy industry or technical training in the mechanical field.
  • Experience with hand tools and specialty tools.
  • Basic computer skills with proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong commitment to personal and job safety.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Willingness to work callouts, holidays, and weekends.
  • Ability to work at multiple stations and respond within 1 hour of job assignment.
